History of the front-end for GhostScript built above ps_view.ps file:

1. ps_view.ps from ps_view.zip (at the 8th EuroTeX conference, 1994),
by P. Pianowski and B. Jackowski. The original version of ps_view.ps
   can be found at
   ftp.pg.gda.pl:/pub/TeX/GUST/contrib/BachoTeX95/BJ_and_PB/ps_view.zip
2. gsview.zip (ftp.muni.cz:pub/tex/local/ps), OS/2 version
   autumn 1994, by unknown author

DOS versions follow:

3. gsvi4dos.zip (ftp.muni.cz:pub/tex/local/ps), January 1995,
   by Petr Mikulik (mikulik@sci.muni.cz).
   gsview.bat: version for GhostScript 2.61
4. psview.zip (ftp.muni.cz:pub/tex/local/ps), June 1995,
   by Jaromir Kuben (kuben@scova.vabo.cz).
!psview.bat: ps_view.ps changed, so all works for ghostscript
   ver. 2.52, 2.61, 3.12 and 3.33.
5. psview.zip (ftp.muni.cz:pub/tex/local/ps), September 1995,
   by Petr Mikulik (mikulik@sci.muni.cz, http://www.sci.muni.cz/~mikulik/)
psview.bat: derived from !psview.bat and gsview.bat to behave like
gsview.bat (single batch file printing menu before GhostScript runs
into graphic mode, simpler(?-not Alt) hotkeys)

OS/2 version:

April 1997: J. Kuben noticed that psview works perfectly under OS/2 (with
gs4.03) if psview*.bat are renamed to psview*.cmd and gs386 therein changed
to gsos2. Much rapid than gvpm, just not so comfortable. P. Mikulik added
these *.cmds into package, and further added into his pmCSTeX for EPM
(macro package for (em)(La)TeXing under OS/2 editor EPM).
